Co-Founder of new Colorado film production company, Deescalated Pictures, Calvin T. Shepherd has been making independent feature films since 2016. In this time, Calvin has made Forgery, Country Mustard, and Safe House 1618, the last of which was picked up for distribution and played at Kevin Smith’s Smodcastle Film Festival.
s.t. williams
S.T. Williams has been friends with Calvin T. Shepherd for nearly a decade. They bonded over their love for fantastical worlds and good stories. Williams may be new to the film industry, but he is very experienced in business and management. He helped define Deescalated Pictures’ mission to create and release unique independent stories hailing from the Colorado Mountains.
S.T. Williams is dedicated to creating a positive work environment and experience while helping creatives fulfill their dreams of making movies!
Garrett Brady
Garrett Brady is a cinematographer, professional photographer, editor, colorist, and composer. He was born in Grand Junction, Colorado, and moved to the Front Range, where he shoots weddings, shorts, music videos, and feature films. Garrett has been a photographer for about 7 years, and the editing, cinematography, and color work naturally followed suit in the coming years.
Alix Moad
Alix Moad is a writer and filmmaker based in Fort Collins, CO. While writing is her first love, she loves working with actors and working on set in general. Previously, Alix has co-written and co-directed shorts such as This Is Why I Don't Go to Parties and The Holy and the Profane. She has written movie and album reviews for Iowa City's independent radio station KRUI and news articles for Game Rant.
Evan Runkle
Evan Runkle is a writer and filmmaker based in Fort Collins, CO. Evan grew up making films and is something of a jack-of-all-trades on set. That being said, he loves being behind the camera and has a passion for practical effects. Evan has written and directed shorts such as The Holy and the Profane and This Is Why I Don't Go to Parties. He spent many years working with Cedar Rapids news station KCRG where he worked at live sports events and produced morning news shows.

Vanette has worked in safety for ten years and triage safety for 2. She is also a certified licensed bartender. Vanette is a proud mother of three. Her passions are movies and rescuing animals. Vanette is committed to making sure Deescalated Pictures’ projects make it from inception to premiere safely and smoothly.
